Em uma derrota para o Palácio do Planalto, o vice-presidente do Tribunal Regional Federal da 2ª Região (TRF-2), desembargador federal Guilherme Couto de Castro, negou recurso da Advocacia-Geral da União (AGU) e manteve nesta terça-feira, 9, a decisão do juiz federal Leonardo da Costa Couceiro, da 4ª Vara Federal de Niterói (RJ), que havia suspendido a nomeação e a cerimônia de posse da deputada Cristiane Brasil (PTB-RJ) como nova ministra do Trabalho do governo Michel Temer.
O caso foi analisado pelo vice-presidente do TRF-2, depois de o presidente do tribunal, desembargador federal André Fontes, se declarar suspeito. O Código de Processo Civil (CPC) prevê que o juiz poderá se declarar suspeito por motivo de foro íntimo, “sem necessidade de declarar suas razões”.
