O Brasil voltou a sofrer um apagão. Por volta das 15h48 desta quarta-feira (21), faltou energia em todas as regiões do País. O problema foi resolvido às 16h15 nas regiões Sul, Sudeste e Centro-Oeste, porém o apagão persiste no Nordeste e Norte.
As informações foram repassadas, em nota, pelo Operador Nacional do Sistema Elétrico (ONS) esta tarde. Por enquanto, os motivos do apagão são desconhecidos. O ONS informou que as equipes estão apurando a causa do apagão. Segundo a Folhapress, a distribuidora Energisa, que abastece o Tocantins, informou que o problema foi causado na usina de Belo Monte, no Pará.
Os subsistemas Norte e Nordeste foram desconectados das outras regiões, causando o desligamento de 18 mil (megawatts) de energia. De acordo com a Chesf, o problema ocorreu no sistema Eletronorte, que negou.

Hoje, 21 de março, às 15h48, uma perturbação no SIN causou o desligamento de cerca de 18.000MW, majoritariamente localizados nas regiões Norte e Nordeste, correspondendo a 22,5% da carga total do SIN naquele momento.
Em consequência da perda de carga, entrou em funcionamento o primeiro estágio do Esquema Regional de Alívio de Carga do Sistema Sul, Sudeste e Centro-Oeste, com corte automático de consumidores, no montante de 4.200MW.
Os sistemas Sul, Sudeste e Centro-Oeste ficaram desconectados do Norte e Nordeste.
Às 16h15 já havia sido realizada a recomposição de praticamente toda a carga no Sul, Sudeste e Centro-Oeste.
As equipes do ONS estão neste momento dedicadas à recomposição dos sistemas Norte e Nordeste, já em curso.
As causas de desligamento estão sendo investigadas.
