De forma sutil, a ministra lembrou que a última “intervenção militar”, a de 1964, submeteu o país a uma longa ditadura. “Regimes sem direitos são passados de que não se pode esquecer, nem de que se queira lembrar”, disse.
É a segunda vez em menos de dois meses que o Supremo se vê obrigado a rebater sugestões de interferência militar na política. Em abril, o ministro Celso de Mello reagiu a um tuíte do comandante do Exército na véspera de um julgamento importante.
Para ele, a manifestação do general Villas Bôas foi “claramente infringente do princípio da separação de poderes”. “Insurgências de natureza pretoriana, à semelhança da ideia metafórica do ovo da serpente, descaracterizam a legitimidade do poder civil instituído e fragilizam as instituições democráticas”,
advertiu.
