Mais de 90% das pessoas que integram os grupos prioritários para imunização já receberam doses da vacina, o que corresponde a 1.713.512 aplicações desde o dia 20 de abril, quando a campanha teve início.
Incluindo outros grupos que não fazem parte da cobertura da campanha, como população privada de liberdade, funcionários do sistema prisional e pessoas com comorbidades, o Ceará vacinou 2.083.028.
O Ceará é o primeiro estado do Nordeste e o terceiro do país a alcançar a meta de vacinação, depois de Goiás e do Amapá. De acordo com o levantamento da Secretaria Estadual da Saúde (Sesa), para chegar a todas as pessoas que devem ser vacinadas pela campanha ainda faltam 9.588 crianças entre seis meses e dois anos; 104.180 crianças entre dois e cinco anos de idade; 17.639 gestantes; 1.853 indígenas; e 82.899 idosos.
Em relação aos 184 municípios cearenses, 129 conseguiram chegar a mais de 90% de pessoas prioritárias vacinadas. Outros 36 municípios alcançaram entre 80% e 90%, enquanto 19 ainda têm a taxa vacinal abaixo de 80%.
Metas
Dentre os grupos populacionais a quem a vacina era recomendada, os professores foram os que tiveram maior índice de comparecimento aos postos de saúde, alcançando 115,29%, seguidos por trabalhadores da saúde (108,17%), puérperas, ou seja, mulheres que deram à luz há pouco tempo (101,32%), indígenas (92,87%) e idosos (91,04).
Ainda se espera, contudo, uma maior presença de gestantes, que tiveram 81,35% de comparecimento e de crianças, cuja cobertura está em 80,24%. Para este último grupo há a ressalva que a faixa etária entre seis meses e dois anos alcançou 94,93% de imunizados, enquanto as crianças entre dois e cinco anos ainda estão em 72,81%. Espera-se que esses grupos alcancem a meta até 15 de junho, quando a campanha será finalizada.
