O governador reeleito do Estado Camilo Santana e a vice-governadora Izolda Cela serão empossados no dia 1º de janeiro de 2019, às 14h, em solenidade no Plenário 13 de Maio da Assembleia Legislativa. O evento vai ser conduzido pelo presidente do Poder Legislativo, deputado Zezinho Albuquerque (PDT), de acordo com o disposto no artigo 86 da Constituição Estadual.
Conforme informações do Cerimonial da Casa, após a a abertura da sessão solene de posse, uma comissão de parlamentares será designada pelo presidente para acompanhar o governador e a vice ao Plenário, e, em seguida, haverá a execução do Hino Nacional Brasileiro pela banda de música do Corpo de Bombeiros Militar do Ceará.
Após a execução do Hino, o governador e a vice fazem o juramento de posse, firmando o compromisso “de manter e defender as constituições do Ceará e do Brasil, observar as leis, promover o bem geral do povo cearense, respeitar e sustentar a autonomia dos municipios e sujeitar-se ao Estado Democratico de Direito e à ordem federativa.” Concluídos os procedimentos protocolares, a palavra será facultada a Camilo Santana .
A cerimônia é encerrada com a execução do hino do Estado do Ceará, pela banda de música da Polícia Militar Major Xavier Torres.
A solenidade vai contar com a presença de autoridades, convidados, parentes, deputados em mandato e imprensa. A posse não é aberta ao público, e somente os convidados terão acesso ao Plenário. Os servidores que irão trabalhar no evento vão receber credenciais específicas.
O chefe do Executivo deve voltar ao Poder Legislativo no dia 1º de fevereiro, após a eleição da nova Mesa Diretora da Casa, para a abertura dos trabalhos legislativos da próxima Legislatura. Na ocasião, ele vai apresentar a sua mensagem de prestação de contas de 2018, além de anunciar as ações do Governo para 2019. Camilo Santana e Izolda Cela cumprirão mandato até o dia 31 de dezembro de 2022.
