Localizada no alto da serra de São Pedro, em Caririaçu, a Escola Estadual de Educação Profissional (EEEP) Paulo Barbosa Leite, inaugurada nesta segunda-feira, 11, já é destaque na paisagem e promete também fazer diferença na educação e na vida da juventude do município. “Além de contar com um mirante para a região do Cariri, sendo uma das escolas mais bonitas do Ceará, vocês estão recebendo uma infraestrutura que vocês encontrariam em poucas escolas do Brasil”, afirmou o governador Camilo Santana, ao dar início oficialmente ao ano letivo no ensino público cearense.
A inauguração da unidade de número 120 com essa modalidade de ensino contou também com a presença da vice-governadora Izolda Cela, da secretária da educação Eliana Estrela, do prefeito de Caririaçu, Edmilson Leite, e de outras autoridades da região. “Desde 2015 nós estamos trabalhando nas escolas profissionalizantes e nas escolhas integrais de ensino médio. O Ceará hoje já tem uma das melhores educações de ensino fundamental e temos avançando muito na educação de ensino médio. Investir na educação é investir num futuro melhor para todos, especialmente para a juventude”, disse Camilo Santana.
“Sempre acompanhava meu pai, que trabalha na agricultura, desde a plantio da roça, até a colheita e quero seguir esse percurso”, conta a estudante Júlia Gonçalves, de 14 anos, ao explicar o porquê de ter escolhido o curso de Agropecuária. E completa: “Estou entrando no primeiro ano, gosto muito da área de advocacia, mas se eu me aprofundar no curso, talvez curse uma faculdade na área de Agronomia. A estrutura de laboratórios aqui me vai me proporcionar o que uma escola normal jamais me daria essa oportunidade”.

Além da Agropecuária, a EEEP ofertará os cursos técnicos de Administração; Informática e Secretariado. O prédio tem capacidade para receber até 540 estudantes, em tempo integral, das 7 às 17 horas. Nestas escolas, os estudantes fazem o Ensino Médio e se preparam para o mercado de trabalho.
É o que espera o estudante Carlos Eduardo Araújo, de 15 anos, que não tem dúvidas que o curso de Informática vai trazer grandes oportunidades profissionais no futuro. “Desde criança já mexia com computadores e fazia cursos. Espero que depois de estagiar ao final do curso eu possa conseguir um emprego na área”, disse o estudante.
No terceiro ano, o Governo do Ceará propicia o estágio curricular obrigatório e remunerado para os alunos. No momento, 4,5 mil empresas são parceiras nos programas de promoção de estágio profissional com previsão de atendimento de 15 mil estudantes. “A definição dos cursos normalmente é feita junto à comunidade e região para que consigamos estabelecer uma política que atenda a todos, que seja próxima ao cotidiano e possamos garantir bons resultados nas ações implementadas”, explicou a secretária da Educação, Eliana Estrela.

A EEEP é composta de 12 salas de aula, auditório, biblioteca, bloco pedagógico administrativo, laboratórios específicos para os cursos técnicos oferecidos, além dos de Línguas, Informática, Ciências e Matemática. Esta é mais uma construção que atende à concepção de qualidade para escolas de educação profissional. A obra foi supervisionada pelo Departamento de Arquitetura e Engenharia (DAE), órgão vinculado à Secretaria da Infraestrutura (Seinfra).

As escolas profissionais ofertam 52 cursos técnicos para 94 municípios cearenses na Capital e no Interior, com o atendimento de 50 mil jovens.
A EEEP faz parte da Coordenadoria Regional de Desenvolvimento da Educação (Crede) 19, sediada em Juazeiro do Norte. A rede estadual na região passa a contar com 30 unidades de ensino, sendo 1 Centro de Educação de Jovens e Adultos, 6 Escolas Profissionalizantes, 8 Escolas de Ensino Médio Regular em Tempo Integral, 14 Escolas Regulares, além do Centro Cearense de Idiomas (CCI) com atendimento para alunos e professores.
