A prefeita de Potengi na região do cariri oeste do Ceará, Alizandra Gomes PT, apresentou um aumento para os professores em 2019 de apenas 3.75%, (conforme inflação anual),o que dará salários de aproximadamente 2.595,00.
Com isso os docentes alegam que com esse reajuste praticamente acaba com o Plano de Cargos e Carreira onde os salários deveriam de ser 3.120, 43 para graduados e 3.370,00 para aqueles que possuem a pós- graduação.
Os professores denunciam que nos últimos anos, especialmente nesta ultima gestão, os professores tem sofrido grandes golpes em seus direitos conquistados.
