Durante o mês de maio, o Governo do Ceará, por meio do Departamento Estadual de Trânsito (Detran-CE) realiza atividades para celebrar, no âmbito do estado, o Movimento Maio Amarelo.
Ao longo do mês acontece uma vasta programação em Fortaleza e em diversas cidades do estado. São blitze educativas, palestras, cursos e ações educativas itinerantes.
Em meio a tantas ações, o dia 16 de maio marca uma grande movimentação no Centro de Fortaleza. É o movimento ‘Maio Amarelo na Praça do Ferreira’, das 9 às 12h, com participação da Guarda Municipal, com a banda de música e fantoches e da AMC, que fará intervenção na faixa de pedestres com atores.
Participação ainda da Polícia Rodoviária Federal, com o “Cinema Rodoviário”. O Detran terá unidade móvel e teatro, com ações de educação para o trânsito; e do Sindicato das Autoescolas, com adesivaço, entre outros.
As ações são um esforço conjunto e servem como base de reflexão para que as pessoas promovam um trânsito mais seguro, como explica Igor Ponte, superintendente do Detran-CE.
