Parafraseando o desabafo do senador Tasso Jereissati (PSDB) durante o lançamento da pré-candidatura do general Guilherme Theophilo ao Governo do Ceará, a oposição nunca esteve tão só na história do Ceará. Com as tratativas feitas desde o ano passado, a base aliada do governador Camilo Santana (PT) tem engordado ao ponto de poder tornar a campanha de reeleição do petista ao Palácio da Abolição a maior aliança eleitoral na história recente do Estado.
Levantamento feito pelo O POVO, com base em informações do Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE), aponta que, se Camilo mantiver todos os partidos que já estão ao seu lado em seu registro de candidatura, quebrará, pela segunda vez consecutiva, o recorde de partidos coligados na disputa majoritária no Ceará.
O petista disputou o primeiro turno em 2014 com 18 partidos na aliança. O número já era o dobro do maior bloco conquistado por Cid Gomes (PDT), em 2006.
Dos 35 partidos registrados no Brasil, 24 estão no arco de aliança do governador. As últimas adesões foram oficializadas após as negociações envolvendo partidos que integravam a oposição no Ceará: MDB, PMB, PR, SD e PSD.
