Os deputados eleitos para a 56ª legislatura (2019-2023) da Câmara dos Deputados foram empossados nesta sexta-feira, em sessão no Plenário Ulysses Guimarães. No início da tarde, os partidos se organizaram em três blocos parlamentares, com o objetivo de aumentar a representatividade na composição dos órgãos da Casa.
Dos 513 deputados, 512 compareceram e fizeram o juramento: “Prometo manter, defender e cumprir a Constituição, observar as leis, promover o bem geral do povo brasileiro, sustentar a união, a integridade e a independência do Brasil”. Respondendo à chamada nominal, por estado, cada deputado disse: “Assim o prometo”.
