Diante da redução da atividade econômica decorrente do menor volume de passageiros em Juazeiro do Norte (CE), a prefeitura do município e a empresa de táxi aéreo Rota do Sol firmaram parceria para a realização de três voos charter semanais. As operações acontecerão a partir do dia 13 deste mês e o trecho deve custar R$ 950. Os bilhetes já estão à venda.
A frequência foi viabilizada como uma solução instantânea para preencher o espaço deixado pela Avianca, que deixou de operar os voos que ligavam a cidade no sul do Ceará a Fortaleza em abril.
Os voos, que serão realizados às segundas, quartas e sextas-feiras, sairão do Aeroporto de Fortaleza às 9h rumo ao Aeroporto Orlando Bezerra de Menezes, em Juazeiro do Norte. O caminho inverso ocorrerá às 18h, com destino a Fortaleza. A aeronave utilizada para a operação da rota conta com 18 poltronas.
De acordo com o secretário de Desenvolvimento Econômico de Juazeiro do Norte, Michel Araújo, estão marcadas para a próxima semana reuniões com Gol, Azul e Latam. Durante os encontros, será discutida a possibilidade de uma das companhias passar a operar a rota regularmente. “Todas as companhias estão interessadas em cobrir o problema. A questão é ter avião sobrando para operar a rota”, avalia Araújo.
Na reunião, o secretário pretende apresentar “os potenciais da região, com o grande volume de passageiros que transita pelo equipamento”.
Embarques e desembarques
Em 2018, o terminal de Juazeiro do Norte registrou 563.548 embarques e desembarques, crescimento de 3,92% na comparação com 2017 (542.280 embarques e desembarques). Durante a alta estação no ano passado, o aeroporto da cidade chegou a registrar até 18 operações, entre pousos e decolagens comercias, diariamente.
Sem o volume de passageiros da rota que era operada pela Avianca, o secretário vê com preocupação os impactos na atividade econômica. “Houve retração no volume de passageiros no período diurno, reduzindo a atividade econômica ligada diretamente ao aeroporto, como taxistas e praça de alimentação do aeroporto, em consequência do grande aumento do transporte terrestre e de pessoas viajando em carros particulares para manter a ligação Juazeiro-Fortaleza”, lamenta.
