Em dois decretos publicados no Diário Oficial da União (DOU) desta quarta-feira 16, o presidente Jair Bolsonaro incluiu os Correios e a Telebras no Programa de Parcerias de Investimentos da Presidência da República (PPI), oficializando medidas anunciadas anteriormente.
Com a confirmação presidencial, estudos públicos serão realizados para encaminhar a privatização das duas estatais. A venda de ambas requer aval da Câmara e do Senado.
Comitês com membros da Casa Civil, Ministério da Economia, Ministério de Ciência, Tecnologia, Inovações e Telecomunicações (MCTIC) e BNDES, além de representantes das próprias estatais, serão instaurados pelo governo para acompanhar os estudos, que devem determinar qual modelo de desestatização o governo julga mais adequado – com opções como abertura de capital, venda de ações ou privatização.
