A seca se alastra nesses últimos meses do ano, no Cariri Oeste e o município de Campos Sales é um dos mais atingido pela escassez d´água na região. Na tentativa de evitar o colapso no abastecimento do município, o prefeito Moésio Loiola solicitou em caráter de urgência reunião extraordinária com o presidente da Cogerh (Companhia de Gerenciamento dos Recursos Hídricos), João Lúcio Farias, em Fortaleza, nesta terça-feira, dia 19.
Moésio, que já recebeu o aval do governador Camilo Santana, quer a imediata abertura da adutora de Araripe, como forma de amenizar a questão hídrica em Campos Sales. “Não importa quanto vai dar de água. Pode ser 10m³, 20m³ ou de 100m³. O importante é que chegue águas nas torneiras de nossos moradores”, avisa o prefeito. A adutora já possui encanamento de 35 quilômetros ligando um município a outro.
Desde julho passado, o governador Camilo Santana, sensibilizado com seca que atinge Campos Sales, determinou que uma força-tarefa composta pela Cogerh, Cagece e Sohidra. Em agosto ficou determinado com uma máquina perfuratriz realizasse perfuração de poços profundos no município e que seriam construídos chafarizes para amenizar a questão hídrica. Os trabalhos estão sendo realizados, mas a água encontrada é insuficiente para manter a regularidade do abastecimento.
