Duas Escolas Cearenses recebem menção honrosa, na noite de ontem(11), durante a cerimônia de enceramento da 12ª edição do Prêmio Itaú-Unicef, realizado em São Paulo. As instituições, uma de Campos Sales e a outra do Trairi, foram homenageadas por ações realizadas em parcerias com Organizações da Sociedade civil(OSC) e que contribuíram para o desenvolvimento de uma educação integral.
O Projeto Cordeletrando – Educar rima e transforma, fruto da parceria entre a Escola José Augosto Sobrinho, do município de Campos Sales, com a ONG Conselho de Pais de Campos Sales, recebeu a menção na categoria Pequeno Porte Orçamentário, por se utilizar da Arte do Cordel como instrumento de transformação.
“Essa menção nos sinaliza que estamos no caminho certo, de que precisamos melhorar e que é possível sim promover uma educação integral com o recurso que dispormos” disse Maria Lucia presidente do Conselho de Pais de Campos Sales.
Já na categoria Grande porte, a Menção Honrosa foi para o projeto Juventude Comunica Direitos, realizada pela Escola de Ensino Fundamental Carlos Ferreira Barbosa, no Trairi em parceria com o Centro de Estudo do Trabalho e de Assessoria ao Trabalhador(CETRA). A iniciativa trabalha há três anos na comunidade rural com atividades que partem das artes, da fotografia, na perspectiva da agroecologia e da convivência com o semiárido.
Durante a solenidade, a fundação Itaú Social e o Fundo das Nações Unidas para a Infância(UNICEF) anunciaram, ainda, as quatro parcerias vencedoras da etapa nacional do prêmio Itaú – Unicef, recebendo, cada uma, 100 mil para investimento na educação. Na etapa regional , realizada em Recife no mês de Novembro, três instituições foram premiadas.
